VC Problem
« on: December 20, 2012, 07:01:52 pm »
Whenever I try to open VC this Error message shows up.

"GTA VC cannot find enough available video memory"
But I can play my other games flawlessly.
It started after I arrived here (Colombia), before when I was in the UK I could run the game with no problems at all with my HD 7970. The only thing that I've changed is my Monitor.
I have tried installing VC and my graphics card driver again but It didn't work.
Also tried compatibility mode but still no luck.
Any Ideas?
Thanks.
Video of my Error

Normally that happens when you have Windows 7 and those in South America.

That happened to me too, so change the system. ._.
Don't ask me why this happens here, is bullshit.

I assume you've installed Windows in the C partition, install Windows XP in a seperate partition (if you haven't done this before, ask a technician). Older games tend to have this problem. You could also attempt to change the compatibility mode of the GTA.

Your specs are fine... Maybe your need to update some/all of your drivers?
I have all my drivers up to date.

Please don't tell me you actually pay for Windows...

Getting rid of the newer OS isn't a viable option but having an older version on a different partition so that you can still benefit from the newer version and have the other backup one for older games that aren't supported anymore is good.

Have you tried changing the color depth and the screen size, in certain cases that might help and I know this may sound unorthodox, but remove your video card drivers and install an older version of them (not necessarily the oldest but a couple of versions behind the current one) if the above option didn't help you. Also disable any running processes that might hog your video memory, try to run the game after removing all running programs.
